They also work closely with our registered massage therapists and kinesiologists to maximize your outcomes and help you reach your fitness and well-being goals.

Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates combines the hands-on manual therapy skills of a physiotherapist with a system of exercises developed by Joseph Pilates to assist in injury rehabilitation and management. Emphasis is placed on exercises that target core strength, posture, movement control, and breathing work. Sessions are one-on-one and customized to meet the needs of each individual. Kinesiology

Kinesiologists specialize in human movement. Kinesiologist are university educated and highly trained professionals who design and implement exercise programs related to human performance, ergonomics, occupational health and safety, and lifestyle management.

Lian completed her physiotherapy schooling at McMaster University and has a degree in Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Saskatchewan. She is excited to help patients get back to the activities they love by taking a holistic, evidence-based approach to their physiotherapy. Lian’s treatment style focuses on achieving patient goals through active rehabilitation and education. Carmen graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy from Western University after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Kinesiology at UBC. She spent a number of years working as a physio in Ontario where she specialized in both orthopedic and pelvic health conditions. She has experience working with a variety of clients ranging from young athletes and weekend warriors to clients struggling with symptoms related to pregnancy and delivery. Carmen comes to the work with honour and deep curiosity for her client’s lived experiences. Her treatments are heavily informed by her background in yoga and personal experience with chronic pain.

Her practise is focused around nervous system regulation and relaxation. She has taken continuing education in trauma informed care, chronic pain, perinatal care, fascial, visceral and cranial therapies. She has a special interest in supporting the below:

Corey puts emphasis on a thorough assessment and believes that through deep and specific techniques that focus on the cause symptoms, recovery can be achieved in a shorter duration. He has worked with a wide variety of clients that range from office workers and nurses to amateur athletes and professional stunt workers. Corey has been able to successfully aid clients with chronic headaches, low back pain, muscular and postural imbalances, strains, sprains, tendinopathies, fibromyalgia and many more pathologies. His treatments are generally oil-free and include deep and superficial myofascial release, trigger point therapy, active and passive stretching, friction therapy and Graston Technique.

Brian has experience treating clients with a range of health problems including MS, chronic pain syndromes, post-MVA related problems, sports-related injuries, muscle tightness, and nerve impingements caused by everyday wear and tear. Ivan completed his physiotherapy training at Queens University (Ontario) after obtaining a degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University (BC). He has also completed post-graduate courses in a variety of manual therapy techniques, vestibular rehabilitation, and is certified in both acupuncture and Gunn IMS (intra-muscular stimulation). Aaron completed his physiotherapy degree at the University of Alberta and a Kinesiology degree from the University of Victoria. He has taken manual therapy courses and is licensed to perform acupuncture and IMS. This year Aaron has taken on a teaching assistant role for a Functional Dry Needling & Intramuscular Stimulation continuing education course. As most of his patients can attest to his joy of talking, teaching is a natural progression for him.
